The Problem
Mid-size Jaipur IT companies run leave management through a painful combination of emails, Excel sheets, and HR portals that nobody uses. Employees message their manager on WhatsApp — "Sir, kal chutti chahiye" — and the manager forwards it to HR, who manually updates the tracker.
The result: duplicate leaves, policy violations caught too late, month-end reconciliation nightmares, and HR spending 30% of their time on attendance tracking instead of people work. One IT company told us they had 3 employees on leave the same week for a critical release — nobody caught the conflict.
What We're Building
An AI-powered leave management agent that employees interact with via WhatsApp in Hindi or English — no portal, no forms, no email chains.
- Natural language requests — "Kal se 3 din ki chutti chahiye, biwi ki tabiyat kharab hai" is understood as a 3-day medical leave from tomorrow
- Policy validation — checks leave balance, blackout periods, team capacity, and approval hierarchy before routing
- Conflict detection — flags if too many team members are off the same day, suggests alternate dates
- Auto-routing — sends approval request to the right manager with context, gets approval via WhatsApp reply
- Attendance reconciliation — generates clean monthly reports for payroll, no manual entry
